Where It Started, and Where We Are Now

The business started with a straightforward principle: do the excavation properly, use the right base material, get the drainage falls correct, and the surface will look as good as the day it was installed years later.

Three decades on, that hasn't changed. We've installed thousands of driveways and outdoor spaces across Bicester, Thame, and the surrounding villages. Some of those driveways are now almost 30 years old. They have no sinking. No drainage problems. They look as they should.

That kind of track record doesn't come from good marketing. It comes from what happens underground before the first surface material goes down. The correct depth of excavation. A properly compacted sub-base. Accurate falls so water drains away rather than sitting on the surface or pooling near the house.

What the 10-Year M&C Workmanship Guarantee Actually Means

Every driveway and patio we install comes with a 10-year written workmanship guarantee.

Here is exactly what that covers.

The two things that go wrong with a poorly installed driveway are sinking and drainage problems. Both happen underground, they are the result of insufficient excavation, inadequate base material, or incorrect drainage falls.

Both are entirely preventable when the groundwork is done to the right specification. The M&C Guarantee covers both. If your driveway sinks within 10 years, or if it develops drainage problems within 10 years, we will return to assess the issue at no charge and put it right.

Here is why we can make that guarantee: driveways that are going to have groundwork problems show those problems well before the 10-year mark, usually within the first two or three years. If a driveway is still performing correctly after 10 years, it was built correctly.

We have driveways in this area that we installed in the mid-1990s, no sinking, no drainage issues, still in excellent condition. That is the track record the guarantee is built on. Every guarantee is issued in writing at the point of job completion.
